The WHO guidelines of major countries such as Europe and the United States stipulate that steam sterilization is the preferred sterilization method for heat-resistant and moisture-resistant high-risk devices. Why is this:

Safety

The sterilizing agent and the substances produced during the sterilization process are both water, which is safe for people, machinery and the environment. Water is purely natural and does not contain any elements and chemical residues that are harmful to the human body and the environment. Its outstanding contribution to sterilization technology is to reduce costs and protect the environment from pollution. There are no carcinogenic ethylene oxide chemicals, and there is no potential risk to the health of staff

Strong penetration

The water molecules in saturated steam exist in a free form, with a small volume and strong penetration. Saturated steam is caused by the thermal motion phenomenon between gas molecules.

Fast

The standard sterilization time is 15 minutes below 121°C and 3 minutes below 134°C, which can achieve the required level of protection for device identification sterility. Correspondingly, dry heat sterilization takes 2-4 hours, which is economical in terms of time cost.

Mature process

The requirements for sterilizers and processes are mature, standardized, and can be evidence-based, tested, verified, and monitored.

Simple preparation of sterilizers

The preparation requires filtering impurities and air from clean process water and heating it.

When in contact with objects below its temperature, the steam transfers heat to the objects and condenses itself. The microorganisms on the surface of the objects are heated, causing the proteins and enzymes that maintain their life functions to undergo irreversible denaturation and coagulation, thus dying, thereby achieving sterilization.
